I recently enjoyed a family vacation at the Three Crowns, centrally located in Chagford. Our arrival was a bit late, but the staff were very accommodating, ensuring we had a warm meal waiting for us, which was perfect after the long drive. Breakfast offered a wonderful selection, including a hearty full English and continental options that pleased everyone in the family. The building itself is a traditional British inn with charming touches that reflect its heritage. Our room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the Main Street—great for people-watching! One highlight for my children was the friendly atmosphere; the hotel staff, especially Adam and Ollie, made us feel welcome. Chagford also hosts annual literary, music, and film festivals, which added an extra layer of local culture to our stay. The Three Crowns provides a nice base for families looking to explore with plenty of amenities to keep all ages entertained. I'd recommend it for a family escape.
